about me...
emma sophia rathe
actor, singer, artist
Hello! My name is Emma and I am from Waverly, Iowa. I grew up loving to perform. That love for performance has stayed with me as I continued down many artistic paths throughout the years.

I received an MFA in Acting at The New School in 2022 and a BFA in Musical Theatre at Missouri State University in 2017. I've kept busy during the summers by getting the Basic and Intermediate Stage Combat certification in Toronto, Canada, through FDC at Rapier Wit, and taking a Shakespeare class in London through Florida State University.

I have worked in Chicago performing in two one-woman cabarets I wrote: Fishhooked and perFectly imperFect. I also got to perform in Avenue Q as the Bad Idea Bear.

In 2019, I moved to New York City to pursue my MFA, and I worked there for 3 years, including performing my one-woman show Fishhooked at The Laurie Beechman Theatre.
I now live in Bozeman Montana soaking up the outdoors. I have found a love in teaching acting and voice, and also dialect coaching. I continue to perform as well, but other than that you'll find me reading, hiking, knitting or cooking!
